32 weeks...8 months!

Both me and Bun, bigger by the day! Bun is now close to around 4 pounds and 19 inches long...that's according to those books, so who really knows, but it's a good estimate!
The books say that Bun is practicing breathing and swallowing, sucking and moving :) I think that's so weird to think that it's "breathing" the fluid in and out of it's lungs, then when it comes out it just works with air and fluid will no longer work....so amazing.
Bun definitely practices moving all the time :) It's sleep patterns have been more distinct though, which is good. It seems to sleep for 2-3 hours now, it still moves in it's sleep, but it feels different from it's awake times....I'm just guessing at those, but it's movements when it's awake seem to never stop, and it's sleep times seem to be more like it's dreaming. The moves are so much different now in general, Bun has much less room in there so they are less impact, and more rolling type moves. I can now sort of make out body parts as it moves around...little feet or a butt....I can at least figure out where it is in there because my belly will get really tight in places and softer in others...it still feels sort of foreign, such a weird miracle.

31 weeks

Baby has grown leaps and bounds this week! My book says little Bun weighs about 3 1/2 pounds and is about 18" long. I swear it feel like every time I stand up it's heavier and bigger. My prego tops are fitting a lot snugger these days, and most everyone notices that I am indeed pregnant. There is less and less room for my bladder too.

Bun is still very active, but I can tell it's running out of room in there. The movements are still large and now you can watch from the outside and see all of the little movements too as it turns and moves in there. Last week I had a doc appointment and everything is good. Bun is measuring right on target again. Right now it's head down and flips daily from left to right. I'm starting to retain a bunch of water especially in the evenings, but I still don't really notice a lot of swelling...yet. My weight however fluctuates sometimes as much as 7 or 8 pounds from morning to night to morning again...and my doctor said that since she really can't tell that I've gained that weight, that it's all fluid. There is a girl in my prego swim class that had the same thing happen to her gaining and losing a lot of weight in a matter of days, she didn't notice the swelling at first, and then at about 32 weeks her feet started to look like they belonged on an elephant :) all the lovely things I still have to look forward to :)

30 Weeks!!!

Getting very stretchy and tight, and feeling huge! 30 weeks means I'm roughly 10 weeks away from being a true grown-up! The books say little bun is about 3 pounds already. I think just a week ago or so it was only 2 1/2 pounds...just growing like a little weed :)

I'm feeling a little more tired these days, some lost sleep from feeling so uncomfortable, and from major snoring apparently! Poor Scott is getting kept up at night from my snoring...I guess from the increase in fluid in my body, my once occasionally snoring has increased to very frequent chainsaw-like snores...as Scott describes. That is my new nickname in the morning, chainsaw. Gotta love all of what pregnancy has to offer.

I look so forward to the days I get to swim, it just makes my body feel so much better. For one I feel much less in the water, until I get out and gravity rears it's ugly head again. But it just feels so good to move around and loosen up all my tight muscles. I sometimes don't even realize that I'm tight until I get there and start to stretch and move around. I wish I could feel that weightless all the time :)

29 weeks!

Looking mighty wide these days!

This last week, I have felt baby pushing so hard right behind my belly button, maybe it has a butt or back pushing there...I don't know, but I keep telling it that there is no more room there! I feel so tight! Sort of the same feeling you get from eating too much on Thanksgiving, although not as satisfying :)

My meals are shrinking in size and increasing in frequency now. Bun is taking up more room and that is just shoving everything upwards. I'm definitely needing snacks now because I'm so hungry between meals, probably because I can't fit as much in at one time. So I'm pretty much eating all the time now :)

Bun now has these movements that are really distinct and feel like hands or feet up by my ribs and across the middle of my belly. It's hilarious to watch my belly...it looks like it's rearranging things in there...umbilical cord over here...placenta over there...nope...put that back over here...and so on :) It's still so busy in there doing it's thing. It's movements have started to wake me up at night now...it feels like something is touching me and grabbing me, not just the kick or punch any more.
