"uh huh"

This week it actually rained a little bit for 3 or 4 days, not a lot, but a little. Laney and Tana both had fun splashing in the puddle, the only small puddle in the garage. After splashing in it for 3 minutes the puddle was gone, but it was a fun 3 minutes. We gathered our cows up for a night with the forcast saying we were supposed to get 10 inches of snow where they are at...they got some rain. But we had fun gathering them. Pastor Scott and Di helped us, and Laney rode until she got too cold. Tana rode on my back for a bit, but the wind was just too chilly so we ended up back in the car. Tana is talking so much more, she is up to about 25 words and everyday says some new ones. A lot aren't that clear, but they are distinctly different from the rest...she says "boo" for blue, and "kack" for quack, but my favorite, well other than "mama", "dada", "hi", and "bye", is :) "uh huh". She answers everything with "uh huh" now instead of nodding yes. The little "uh" is high and the "huh" comes out lower and all drawn out...it's pretty cute. I wanted to write that she has the most ticklish feet and armpits ever, just so I don't forget. I love taking her shoes off because she gets this look on her face like she knows whats about to come and she starts to smile in anticipation of me taking her socks of and itching her toes...she just giggles and giggles...oh my it's so cute! She also is soooo happy when she wakes up from her naps or in the morning, big smile on her face and says "hi-eeee", I love that. And another thing I don't want to forget to write down is that she hates sweet things! Scott had a cookie and gave her a bite, she quickly spit it out and rubbed her hand all over her mouth as if it had burned her mouth, but it wasn't even warm. She gagged on whipped cream that he tried to give her once, and frowned and scowled when we tried to give her ice cream once, as if to say "why would someone do that to a person?" She sort of likes honey, she wont spit it out, but wont ask for more. Laney on the other hand, really likes her sweet things. Honey is a favorite!! And any sample of anything sweet she'll say "mmmmm, that is sooo good." :) The picture of the horse...that's Sis, I rode her the other day to check cows. A little about Sis...she is the horse that puts out just enough effort to get the job done but no more. She is kinda short, very wide, not hugely fat, just built a little like a brick. She makes me laugh all the time. Anyway, we trotted around checking cows for about a half an hour. The other horses weren't even hardly warmed up...Sis was dripping sweat down her belly. We had to load them in the trailer to go down to the feedlot after to get a bull that was in the wrong pen...when I was getting her out of the trailer, I took that picture...too worn out to go any farther...she just sat there with her back feet up in the trailer. I kept saying "come on Sis, you can do it...it's not that far." She just looks at me and sighs...but doesn't move...it just made me laugh, I love her.
