My 200th Post
I knew I was forgetting something last week...something kind of major...Laney is counting. She has been verbally counting for at least a year, but last week she started actually counting! She is now counting everything, the ornaments on the Christmas tree, the cats, the horses, the cows, the bath toys, and reading all the counting books. She is such a little person FULL of opinions. She doesn't really hear 'no' very well...she is more of a negotiator. She'll ask me a question like "can I please have my mooovee on Mom?" I answer 'no, but you may listen to your cd', her response is something like "after you back out of the garage, then I can have my mooovee on." I will answer back, 'no, I said, no, lets listen to the cd', she will answer back "after we feed the horses, then I can have my mooovee on." And that pretty much goes on until we get to our destination. She doesn't get upset or anything...just keeps on negotiating with herself. The picture of her with the kitty Woody was just the other day. She's sitting there loving on Woody, who is perfectly happy, and then I hear Laney say, "I smell that toot outta you, Wood." She has a cd in the car that has adults singing and little kids then sing the same song. We are driving yesterday and the adult sings her part, then the little kid sings his part, and Laney says "good job little teapot." I think she thinks the little teapot sings all the songs, not the kids. Tana is really cruising these days. She is getting quite a bit faster, not running yet, but walking really fast and with much bigger steps. She now says "hi" without being prompted. And she'll hold her phone up to her ear and say "hiieee". Both are very interested in the Christmas tree...should be a fun Christmas :)
