Cookie Day 2011

Last weekend we went to see Santa. The girls and I saw Santa at the feed store, but he was only taking pictures with dogs. Laney asked if she could get her picture taken with Santa, I asked, they said no...just for dogs...seriously...anyway so we had to go to another store where he visited later and stood in line forever. Both girls had a blast hugging and playing with all the kids while we stood in line, but when we got to Santa, neither were too sure about him. Laney helped me put up the Christmas tree and decorate it. She asked me if we had "winking, blinking, lights, and shimmery glass balls" to put on our tree...well since the Poky little puppy did, we did too. The picture with Tana holding the bottle nipple, sucking it makes me laugh...she wont take a pacifier, but she carries this thing around and sucks on it...the funny thing is it squeaks because there is the hole in the end, 'weeek, weeek, weeek, weeeek' and she just makes this hilarious face. This week we went to Mor Mor and Papa's for cookie day...ie crazy day. There are girls everywhere! 14 I think, and what a ball. Laney learned how to say her aunts names, for the most part, "Aunt Stephanie, Aunt Renee, Aunt Stacey, and Aunt Renellie" for Aunt Danell :) Laney had a great time with Vivi, singing, dancing, wrestling, dipping cookies, and nursing their babies. Tana just hugged and kissed everyone. She and Addie were so cute, they had their own little language going on, they'd hug and kiss, and talk and play...it was so cute. They were fascinated with the little chairs...Addie kinda got stuck in one...sorry, had to snap the picture before I got her out...too funny. And the last pictures are of the girls for their passports...getting geared up for Mexico in a couple months...these pics just made me laugh. The last one...I have to admit, has been touched up just a bit. Poor Tana, this week has been a little rough. Learning how to walk and crawl up on stuff has already made it's mark. She has bruises and scratches all over...so I had Uncle Walter do a little retouching...thanks for not turning me in, W :) Laney has been working so hard at learning how to hold up three fingers to show how old she is going to be on her birthday this January. Well we were driving today and she says "hey mom, lookie here, I'm holding up three fingers, no thumbs and no little fingers." She cracks me up. She is also learning that holding up all her fingers means ten, and that one hand has five. Tana holds up her little index finger when Laney holds up hers...so cute. Tana is also saying "hiiiee bay bee". She waves hi, and waves by, and blows kisses, more like licks her hand and offers it up to you...but close enough :)
