Tana's first steps

Tana started taking a few steps this week. Sunday she took her first 5 steps holding Uncle Volk's hands. Laney mimicked them by holding Woody's paws and "walking" him too :) Tana is pulling herself up here and there, and starting to crawl up onto things, ie the dishwasher, and Sadie. She is "talking" more...she says "ooooo" a lot for a lot of different things, but mainly when I say "ooo" she reacts and says "ooo". She points at her reflection and says "ooo dat?" I think she's saying "who's that" and she points and objects and says "wha dat?" I think she's saying "what's that" :) but it's all speculative. She danced with her daddy which was hysterical...she's bobbing her head up and down and bouncing her upper body to the music...SO cute. Tana is riding Charlie Horse by her self and loves it...she bounces along and giggles...she's a natural. Laney, Tana and I visited Mor Mor and Papa for a night and Laney helped Mor Mor make a tomato tart. She helped butter the dish, press the dough into the pan, squirt the mustard, spread the mustard, lay the cheese,  eat the cheese :), blanch the tomatoes and peel the skins off. She loved it. We also saw Aunt Melissa for a bit and when we were leaving her house the 3 elk were laying right by the road...of course I didn't have my new zoom lens, but got some neat pics anyway. The picture of Laney crying makes me laugh...let me explain. She woke up from her nap all bewildered...wanted her Tinkerbell dress on, and a shirt under it because it was scratchy, then she asked where her daddy was. I told her daddy was working and she just starting crying and saying "I want my daddy.....I want daddy...."it was sad and sweet and funny all at the same time. We are finished harvesting for the year and gearing up for fall and winter. We still have three or four ranches yet to gather off of...so more pics of that cowboy stuff comin'.
