Riding Charlie Horse

Didn't she just turn a year???!!! Now 13 months and everywhere! She is walking pretty good now. Goes all the way down the hall with only grabbing the wall once or twice. She LOVES riding her "charlie horse" and she's getting really pretty fast now. She likes wrestling with the pillows on the bed and then collapsing on them acting exhausted and then she will do it again. She likes taking her toys out of her little toy bin and then climbing in and playing with the toys she forgot to take out. She still LOVES water and turns it on constantly to let it run on her hands every chance she gets. She loves to show people her belly button, and loves to sign 'dog' , patting her leg, then she lets out her version of a bark...which sounds a bit like a squeak toy that is asking a question, when she sees a dog in her book or in real life. She continues to love her books, wants to read all day long. Now she picks the books she wants, if you ask her if she wants to read a book that she doesn't want to read, she will shake her head no. She is getting so good at using the potty. She likes to get off then turn around to check out what came out :) Yesterday she got off, pointed and yelled "a poop". She is full of laughs, we just can't get enough of her adorable self.

Happy Valentine's Day, and 40th for Daddy :)

Laney is becoming quite the little helper. This week she ran over to the dishwasher when I opened it to unload it...which she usually does to jump in and dance on it...but instead she took each spoon, fork, etc, out and handed each one to me to put away. And while I was putting each single piece away one at a time, she would wait holding the next piece. She helped me with the whole bottom of the dishwasher. Then she followed me into the living room and helped me pick up lint from Scott's socks :) she is so cute! We celebrated Scott's 40th Birthday on Tuesday...I made him a cake like Laney's just a different colored one :) Our little baby is quickly turning into a toddler and she continues to make us smile each day!

"Dat"

Laney is wanting to walk everywhere. She mostly still wants to hold our hands, but little by little she will stand up and walk a few steps on her own. She LOVES being outside, cold or not, she stands at the sliding glass door and makes the motion with her hand as if she is opening it, makes her little motor boat "I want" sound and looks at me. She loves the snow, she likes too kneel down and put her face directly on the snow and taste it. She is clearly saying "baby" and "bu bee" for buzzy bee, and "mama" and "dada", and points at whatever and says "dat". She loves to point out the pictures of babies, and pulls up her shirt to point at her belly button. She still loves to press our noses to hear a song too. She is so happy and adorable :)
