3rd Trimester, here we come!
Our spot.
Well here I go, this is the last official week of my sixth month and then on to my third trimester! I feel bigger and bigger by the minute. Baby is now a little over 2 pounds and 15 inches long. I'm guessing mine is bigger, since it's been bigger than "the book's" prediction the whole time :)
Bun is moving all the time still, but I definitely notice a difference in the movements. I was only feeling the really powerful kicks and punches most of the time and mostly in my lower left quadrant and straight down. Now I think the baby has turned a little or has changed positions. I get more nudges and punches or kicks up high on my right side under my ribs and clear over on my right obliques. But there are still kicks and big movements on my left side and dead center on my belly button. It's fun to think of what parts are making what movements.
I now feel distinct movements when I eat certain foods. I really still love my spicy food, and at lunch I often have some chipolte peppers on my sandwich, and bun either loves it or hates it, because I get lots of movement after I eat it. Also any kind of sugar, hot chocolate, pieces of dark chocolate, and ice cream all make baby react...like it's cheering for more :)
I've also noticed that Bun is really impatient! If I don't eat right on a schedule, baby tells me all about it until I get food in my tummy! "Hey mom, get Bun some food. Mom, hey mom, get me some food! Hello out there, someone in here needs some food!" I actually catch myself talking to my belly saying "just a second Bun, I'm getting some, hang on just be patient." It must get that from it's father :)
I'm feeling very stretchy and tight! There isn't any room left in there, don't know what the kid is gonna do, but it feels like that's it!
Too bad my body will just keep getting bigger to accomodate the little karate chopper :)
It's still kicking and punching and moving like crazy! Sometimes it makes me jump because I can see it move out of the corner of my eye. It's a very very active little one :) I'm in for it I'm afraid.
