Vacation home...just can't help myself

Trying to commit myself to posting better almost has set me up to not make my deadline at all...EVER...sorry, seriously I just can't seem to break myself away from the feeling like I'm on vacation...because, well, I sort of am on vacation. This place is like a paradise to me...and I don't function on vacation, I just eat, play, enjoy, repeat :)
Pastor Scott and Di came down to visit...and although their visit was cut a little short, we loved every minute of their stay. We roped and roped and then roped some more :)

The girls are growing like crazy and Tana is now riding by herself. I'm not sure why, but I'm still not completely ok with Laney riding by herself and now Tana...it doesn't seem like she's old enough. But she is fearless, that one, there isn't much that slows her down. She loves "widen my hoe-rse, This" her 's' that starts a word still isn't there, and it sounds like a 'th', so cute. So many people say to me, often, and mind you only are around me with the girls a few minutes when they say "oh my, you sure have your hands full." Or "They are pretty high energy aren't they." or "Are they always this active and busy?" Um yes, yes, and uh well yes. But they are AWESOME little people! SO smart and so curious about life. They have huge loveable hearts and are friends with most everyone. Then Tana gets comments like "that ones not shy, is she?" makes me laugh. Tana mind you, rarely has her clothes on, usually has no shoes on either, something wiped across her face, and not often doesn't have a huge smile. Some lady came and found me at the roping last week and asks me "is that your little girl?" pointing to yes Tana, naked, swimming in the horse tank at the roping. "Um, yes" I answer...she's just free spirited I guess.
Laney continues to amaze me with her brain! She is so funny, at her preschool there is a red dot where they have to sit if they've been naughty. Laney, everyday, has a full report on who had to sit on the red dot, what they did, and how she would never do that because she doesn't want to sit on the red dot. She tells me all their rules all the time. She knows and can recognize each and every other students name, and she shows me who did what art project. She has never screwed it up and there are 17 kids now in her class. It just kind of blows me away how much she remembers and how quickly she learns. She is doing mental math, adding and subtracting in her head with numbers under 10. She and describes things a lot like Scott does, very completely and very simply where whoever is listening understands what she is describing. She talks with so much detail and her memory is orderly, and descriptive.
Love them both...we are so blessed...they are precious and continue to amaze me all the time.

We put this hedge of bushes in along the edge of our arena, which is also now completed. It's really looking so nice around here.
