Merry Christmas Happy New Year catch up...on my sweet Laney's 5th birthday!!
Here are all the Christmas pics and some pics during our windy work in Wyoming trip! We are back in warm AZ thank goodness, getting un-thawed again, and roping. Our trip back to Wyoming had to have been the windiest on record. Laney actually got blown over one day! We got all the rest of our cows mouthed and preg checked, SOLD and shipped! Yippee! What a blessing that was...hardly any opens at all. Out of 800 heifers we had 48 opens and out of 1510 cows we had 23 opens is all! Crazy good, we were so happy and we are so happy that they are sold too. Now our yard is full of their calves and they are getting so big as you can see. We still have a few pairs that just randomly calved as we were gathering and shipping so we have a small herd left I guess...what most normal people would consider a normal sized herd still...but those will sell later this summer or next fall. I'm just so happy that we aren't calving right now or getting ready to calve. I really loved the babies, and the brandings, but I love having Scott around more even more!! It's been fantastic having more time to play together! Achieving balance in an unbalanced world is hard sometimes...but we are getting there! Today Laney turns 5 years old. A little hard to believe that 5 years has past...I vividly remember the burst of overwhelming love I felt in my heart the first time I saw her, held her, smelled her, kissed her. What a blessing she has been. What a remarkable little girl she is. I feel so blessed to have such a smart, loving, healthy, beautiful child with such a beautiful, loving, and gracious heart. She's such an amazing kid! Happy Birthday to you my sweet daughter! My heart is full!
