oh dear 3 weeks in one - Laney starts preschool, Halloween too

 

 

 

Wow, such a slacker...three weeks ago we headed down to AZ and I apparently went into lazy vacation mode and didn't post...oops, sorry. The first few days we were here all we all did, horses, dogs, and humans alike, soaked up the warm sun rays. We left rainy cold Wyoming for still warm sunny AZ, so beautiful down here! Scott and I roped in the World Series roping down here that first weekend. I had the best roping of my life and won no money ;? huh what? Scott and I were straight up on 3 in the #10, that means no barriers and Scott roped them all by 2 feet. We made it to the short round last hole which was 20th...I missed my dally on our short round steer, re-dallied and the steer was on a long rope and Scott roped a leg...we ended up 12th which was 2 out of the money...but there were 254 teams, so we did pretty darn good. Scott's been back and forth to WY I'm not sure how many times now, poor guy, and now he's down here for a week or so to relax and just rope :) The weather is awesome! The poor horses in WY before we left were shivering and wet, when we got here they all just stood around, laid down, just soaked up the warm sun, they are pretty happy. The girls have enjoyed swimming in their kiddy pool AKA the hot tub lol and occasionally jump in the cold pool and swim in there too...ooooh not me burr. I've already gotten VERY used to the warm weather and am now putting on a sweatshirt in the morning when I go feed the horses...so wimpy :) Laney started preschool on the 28th at the Wickenburg Christian Academy and LOVES it! They are so nice and it's small...I love it too! It's been no adjustment at all for her, she gets so excited and can't wait to go. She goes Monday through Thursday 8-11, it's perfect. Halloween came and went...the girls dressed up in their princess costumes and trick-or-treated here at our house LOL. OK, so I wont slack anymore and I'll post again next week!
