Finished chopping...rained out

I'm just laughing as I write this...we have had so much rain this week, we have lots of puddles and we finally had to stop chopping silage due to the trucks getting stuck. These pics I snapped while the crew was eating lunch on Thursday...Tana runs towards the mud puddle yelling "we're goin' swimming!" The ones of Jo watching the girls playing are so sweet, she sits there like she's baby sitting and every so often looks over at me as if to say she's not responsible. We are thankful for the rain, but Larimer County, my old hometown, is being hammered with flooding from all the rain they are getting. Hwy 34 has washed out in many areas, I-25 has closed, so many homes have been lost...our thoughts and prayers are being sent their way for their safety. The puppies have really grown up. We still have 4, Hank, Sweet Pea, Peach, and Nelly aka "Millie" as Tana calls her. They are fun to watch as they head out to "work" although they are not doing anything we tell them yet, just running on instinct. I think it's so cool how they just come programed to want to do this naturally. Little by little they are learning stuff. Hank is downing and coming really well...Peach and Sweet Pea come well, Nelly when alone comes well...and when they are all together the gerbels in their heads get to running so fast they can't hear me and they get to racing each other...so naughty and funny.

Here are a couple videos of Scott and I practicing...first video I'm on Blueduck Scott's riding Joe

Second Video I'm on Blueduck Scott's on Diesel

That is Laney opening the chute for us! She LOVES her job :) she jumps off the chute and runs out into the arena after every single steer :)
