What a beautiful day! We trailed our heifers down off the mountain onto the hay meadows last Monday and it was really a gorgeous day. Cool but nice. The wind of course blew a little, but it wasn't too cold, and didn't get too hot. I just LOVE some of these pics...some of my favorites of all time in here. I love love love this last one of Tana! I just think it's precious! The first pics on here are Laney learning how to swing her rope at the dummy. I finally got her on video swinging her empty hand just practicing her position and going through the motions...it's hysterical and I'll get it posted next week. It's like a hula dance horseback...so funny. Some of the pics of Diesel are just so cool...love how photogenic he is. As you go through the pics Laney is on her horse, then there is no Laney, then there is Laney again...Diesel was really fresh and really needed to run a little as he gathered and Laney doesn't like to go that fast yet. So she got on the buggy with me for a bit, while Diesel got to blow out. I usually don't change my pics to black and white...especially these because the colors were so vivid and awesome...but I liked the effect on a few of my favorites so I posted both versions. I also really love the one of Nann turning that heifer back...love the action it captures and she's just smiling. And the one I did black and white of Laney is also so sweet, she's looking down at River doing something and this just captures so much joy. I normally wouldn't post the pics of my butt, but this is what happens when Scott gets the camera :O it made me laugh when I downloaded them so I just had to post them. He is so funny. The ones of Tana in the beginning are so funny, she kept sneezing and I kept getting parts and pieces of them...just made me laugh, then she looks at me and smiles...so cute! I also wanted to include some of what Tana is saying these days. I've been working really hard at trying to figure out how to spell how she makes them sound...it's taken me a bit, but I have a few. "Day go" for There you go..."Goo man" for Goose man..."Blue Guck" for Blueduck..."fwimming" for swimming..."tank you" for thank you..."Cot Salo" for Scott Salo...and "Tana Cat a Leen Salo". I've been trying to capture on video her singing Home on the Range and haven't been successful yet...hopefully soon cuz it is so stinkin' cute!
