Happy 4th - 2 weeks in 1 post yet again

So I'm done judging the Miss Rodeo Colorado 2014 pageant, and now I'm in Wickenburg baby-sitting our pool for a couple weeks. I got a little nostalgic during the national anthem at the rodeo. It brought back a bunch of fond memories carrying our flag on horseback, having Hadley Barrett announcing my name, listening to the bucking horses bang around in the chutes, I got a little choked up. Just love cowboys, rodeo, horses, and the national anthem all wrapped up in the same moment...I always feel so patriotic and thankful to live where we live. The contest was really different sitting on the other side of the table. It was really neat being a part of making another girls' dreams come true. After I got done judging, I headed to Aunt Danell's house to leave our car :) and she drove us girls to the airport. Good to see Tabor and Asia, and Danell, even if just for a few minutes. Then off to Wickenburg we went. We landed with plenty of time to get to Wickenburg by dinner. BUT I made the mistake of asking an employee of the airport parking department to help me find my truck that Scott had parked. We seriously walked over 20 miles back and forth, one parking garage to the next, poor little Tana was pooped out! We finally made it to the pickup, which was seriously out the door from our original location (as Scott had described to the guy), and made it up to Wickenburg. Tana crashed and both were a little distraught by the time we made it. We stopped and grabbed groceries, and after we ate dinner Tana projectile vomited all over me. It was not so great. So we all showered and went to bed late. Since then our trip has improved. Our pool is now full of water and we are able to swim and enjoy it. The girls LOVE it, they want to swim, snack, then swim, then snack, then swim, then eat then go to bed, then do it all again the next day. Tana just swam off by herself on the noodle, just as confident as ever. It's a smoking cool pool! I haven't got the propane tank filled, so no fire pots yet, but hopefully Monday we can turn those on :)
