Finally named the puppies...kinda

As these puppies get bigger I'm realizing just how many dogs there are...puppies seem to take up less space...but they are going to be really big soon and that means I'm going to have 14 dogs...13 bc's 1 corgi. Huh...that is a mini herd and they aren't the laziest dogs on earth. Aside from that, they are so adorable. They all have their own little personality, and they are all so fun to play with. This breed is really fun to be around as a pup, they run by the girls and lay down, try herding the others, lay quietly observing then attack. They are figuring out who is alpha in the group, they argue over food bowls and toys now. I can't tell who wins, although the one I thought was the mild, shy one, tore my ankles off trying to "turn" me or something. They are quite fun to watch. So we have 4 males, 4 females...not sure where I got 3 females 5 males before, I must have been counting one twice and missing one...or I suck at that, either way, I'm pretty sure I'm right now. So the girls are named "Nel" or "Nellie", "Peach", "Sweet Pea" or "Pea" (she is very sweet and pees on you when you pick her up), and "Biscuit", the girls named her. The boys are "Oakley" or "Oak", "Captain Woodrow Call" or "Cap", "Lip" for Lippy Jones, and "Hank". Speaking of the girls, they are changing quite a bit. Laney just gets to be more little girl, less little baby girl all the time. She still loves to read so much, in fact taking stories away is the most powerful tactic I have against bad behavior these days. Not that she's ever bad. Tana is pronouncing words so much more clearly, and enunciating her 'n's' so much better. When she says Laney's name fast it still comes out "Lady" but when she speaks slower it's now clearly "Lay-nee". We got some library books down here in Wickenburg and came upon the Fancy Nancy collection. Laney thinks she and Fancy Nancy are just alike, "her mom looks like you mom, ponytail and flip flops, but her dad doesn't have a cowboy hat...hmm...and her little sister is just like Tana....and I love being fancy too." Anyway, Tana loves those stories, and her favorite is "FannyNannyan-thepawwpuhpeee" or Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy. She has memorized the words and there is a part where a little dog gets sick and throws up...the word "GAK" is written out of text by the picture...it's Tana's favorite part. Her timing is perfect, as I read the sentence in text, she responds with a "GAK" that makes me smile all over it's so funny! She also loves the part where Fancy Nancy shows her little sister "how to coop her poop"...you would just have to hear her say it, it's really adorable.
