Causing a stir, causing a stir

Well if you want to get the whole county talking, lease a ranch and put a pile of cows on it. If you really want to get their panties in a wad, trail the cows down the middle of a major highway, blocking traffic through an entire town, on a Thursday. I love it that in Wyoming you literally can open the gates and give a holler and just trail your herd down the middle of any road you like, whenever you like. I love Scott's line "what are they gonna do, take away your birthday?" :) makes me laugh. We trailed a couple hundred of our cows from one end of the ranch to the other this Thursday. It said it was 28 but the wind was like ice and it felt like 0 with the wind chill. FRIGID! But it was the day we had time to move them. Jo, Nap, and Newt were really good helpers for the first part of the trail drive. We used them to help gather and get them through the town of Hawk Springs and then they rode with me so they wouldn't get hit on the highway. I love that Jo continues to watch out the window with her ear all perked. We got those moved successfully, but I wasn't feeling so hot, and Scott then proceeded to get my suburban stuck in a huge snow drift. Well, he got me unstuck and I went home, and ended up having the stomach flu. I still feel awful, but at least now I'm keeping food in my stomach where it belongs, ugh, I really hate puking. Poor Tana started the week off feeling ucky too, but hers was from getting her molars...man teething is so rough! Those two pics were from last Sunday, poor thing felt miserable. Today, the weather was quite a bit warmer and the girls had a bunch of fun outside. The puppies are now a week old and a few days, they are so cute. We lost one :( not sure why, but the remaining 8 are doing really good. They are now starting to show some tan spots, so Nap did come to the party. I still can't tell if they are going to be long or smooth haired. They are starting to growl and bark at each other though, so funny, they sound like those angry birds on that game, it's quite funny. They still don't have their eyes open just yet, but they are starting to stand up and get around. The pic of Tana in the pink horse dress is her saying "please Mommy, I wanna hode da puppies." That dress doesn't look familiar at all. Laney recognized it right away as I got it out for Tana and immediately put it on and tried to continue to wear it..."Look it fits me, Mom." She is so funny with her dresses. Laney is getting to be quite a big girl though. She loves to help wash dishes and Friday morning when I was so sick, she actually cooked her eggs by herself. I cracked them into the bowl, she mixed them up, I added them to the pan, she stirred, added some cheese, and stirred until they were cooked. Then she got herself and Tana a plate, scooped some onto the plate, carried them to the table, got silverware, and said "come on Tana, your eggs are ready sweetie." Way too cute!
