Warming up
The snow melted off this week and it finally warmed up towards the end. Really a couple of nice days over the weekend. I've noticed a significant difference in both the girls physically...had one of those "man, they are so big" moments. I really can't believe how much they have grown. When we went down to Wickenburg the beginning of March, Tana was wearing 2T, starting to wear 3T, now home in Wyoming, some of the 3T shirts are too small, too short...she is wearing some 4T shirts. That's over 6 weeks! Yesterday, a customer came to the feedlot to sort some heifers, they brought their 3 daughters with. An 11 year old, and 9 year old twins. Laney was only slightly shorter than the 9 year old twins. Laney is riding by herself and Sis actually walks for her now. She is doing a great job neck reining and cuing with her legs. She is starting to throw her rope at the roping dummy at the house, she rides lucky the toy horse outside and ropes it...it's pretty funny...she instantly gets frustrated when she misses though...gets that from her dad. The puppies are 8 weeks this week, and they are just so cute. They are so sweet and adorable. I gave them some old socks to play with and chew on and they get some serious tug-a-wars going. Newt loves playing tug-a-war so he jumps right in, and it turns out to be Newt against 4 or 5 puppies, the puppies get yanked all over and Jo referees. It's kinda chaotic around here, but entertaining.
