Laney is 4 today!

 

My bossy little princess tomboy is 4! No, she is really sweet, but we really are having a hard time believing 4 years has passed already. Laney requested a lemon cake with blue frosting...well...the lemon cake wasn't that hard to figure out, google a few recipes and wallah! The blue frosting gets hard when you are trying to avoid sugar and artificial colors. I thought blueberries would work awesome. And they made a beautiful purple cake...I read that baking soda would make it blue...oh dear...the cake continued to change colors all night...but Laney thought it was beautiful, bless her little heart! At least it tasted good. Art and Loretta came over for dinner and cake, it was a very good birthday party.
