3 weeks in 1...

Ok, so my router was bad...now I'm back on track. These pics and this video are from Dec 2-8. Laney and Tana were in a neighborhood Christmas program. Laney recited a poem that said "just want to say that Christ is born, now everyone knows it's Christmas morn." Then she accompanied the angels on stage and sang songs with them...kinda. Tana just went all over. She was so funny, she loved being on the stage. She went with Laney up on stage for moral support, but then Laney exited the stage and Tana just stayed there. In fact, Tana just hung out on the stage as people would come on, leave, more would come and leave, and there's Tana, just hanging out there. There were 2 narrators that sat on the stage for part of it, Tana eventually went and sat with them and smiled at the crowd. She was so funny. They both were so cute. We went to visit Mor Mor and Papa that week too, and the girls had so much fun playing on the playground there. Tana is now sliding by herself.

These pics are from Dec 9-15, we went to Las Vegas to watch Chris rope in the World Series of Team Roping finals at the South Point. It was a nice break, and good to see him and Kristi. We also spent some time with Uncle Dirk and went to see the Shark Reef Aquarium. Laney really liked petting the sting rays...I did the same thing once upon a time when I was in elementary school and we visited Sea World, I spent the whole day with my arm in that tank. The girls had a good time and both got new cowboy boots. Laney wanted spurs too. We found some and got them put on her boots she said "Daddy, we gotta go, I need to spur something."

These pics are from this week finally. Laney has been compiling a list for Santa. When I first asked her what she was going to ask him for she answered "I'm not even sure, um maybe some knitting stuff, so I can knit some clothes up for Tana. Cuz she can't go to school in baby clothes." I have no idea...but it made me laugh. Then yesterday she said, "Mom, I'm going to ask Santa for blue nail polish, and a kitchen of my own". So we will see. When I asked Tana, she happily answered "Cookie!!" we have an Elf on the Shelf from Gramma Sheri and the girls named her Cookie. I'm a little shocked that my next post will be about Christmas already...wow, so fast. Also this week Volk flew his C130 for the last time. He's retiring from the Air Force on Jan 4, 2013. He flew up over the grass pivots and I was able to take some pics. He served 20 years and I'm sure it's more than a little bitter sweet to say goodbye to such a career and something he loved so much. We are proud of you Volk, maybe I'll just have to buy an airplane so you can fly it around. :) Not totally kidding...
