Happy Thanksgiving

 

Thanksgiving was very nice, lots of love and good food, my favorite holiday. Tana is turning 2 tomorrow...seems impossible, really. She knows her alphabet, can count to 10 verbally, and knows the words to the books we read and the songs on their cd. Laney is her little manager, Tana do this, Tana do that, Tana come here, Tana go there...Tana loves it too, anything big sister does and says is pretty much always ok. Laney can count backwards from 10 now too and spells every word she sees on anything. She is starting to sound out words and is able to sound out the first letter of words. They are both changing so very fast, and getting cuter by the minute, most of the time :)

Back in the saddle...

 

 

Well, Scott had his 3 month check-up on Thursday and he's cleared to ride, has to take it slow, but things look great. We roped the dummy today and he felt really good. The girls had fun riding too. Blueduck just loves the girls, loves on them, smells them, eats up the affection, it's pretty adorable. Not a lot to report this week...Laney didn't have strep but stomatitis...yuck...so we had a very slow unexciting week. Her mouth has been full of sores and she's just today and part of yesterday feeling better and eating better. Tana somehow has avoided getting it thus far...hopefully she doesn't get it, it's been no fun. One thing that has been fun, Tana's increasing vocabulary, and her singing. She loves singing. When she sings "old MacDonald" she says "Yi Yi Yo, Yi Yi Yo". She is doing so good on potty training too, and she cheers for herself when she uses the potty, "yay, me", she also cheers for Laney, Scott, and me...makes me laugh.
