Happy Birthday Laney! 3 years old!

I'm not sure what seems more unbelievable, the fact that Laney is 3 already or that both my girls are running and playing in the snow when a year ago I had a "newborn". They change sooo fast! We had Laney's party last Saturday. We weren't completely feeling up to a party, but Laney was looking so forward to it. The girls had a great time, it was a good party. I cooked a couple lasagnas and made my famous strawberry lemonade, it was nice. And yep, I made the monkey cake :) Papa didn't believe me..it wasn't THAT professional looking, Dad :) We also got another new border collie...this is a young female, about Tana's age haha, and works very agressively. It's been nice to watch Jo relax and stretch out on the couch in the mornings. She seems happy and rested. The new girl is named Nan...so we have Newt, Nap, Nan, Jack, Jo, and then Sadie...5 BC's and 1 useless saint with the girls, corgi. Newt has really stepped up to the plate...he likes being in charge and likes it that he can show the way and let the others "get ahold" although he's really gotten a lot of his confidence back :) They are all working pretty well as a team...some kinks are getting worked out as they all learn their directions and where they are supposed to be, but the hair gets to flying when they go to work. I actually got a picture that has them all in it...inside is Sadie then Jo and outside from left to right is Jack, Newt, Nan, Nap. Laney is crazy smart as always...she recognizes all of her letters and will say "D is for Dog" "T is for Tana". She has started to sound out words and is now "reading" her memorized books to Tana. She plays pretend everything, but loves to "cook" like Mommy in the toaster oven and the mixing bowls. I've started letting her crack eggs even...she does pretty well, she gets a little agressive still and we often have to pick out a few pieces of crushed shell, but for the most part she is learning. She loves her memory games, and playing Candyland. She loves painting and drawing on her new easel. She has become such a big girl. Tana is talking more...She says "gogogo", "poop",  and "ot" for hot now. I still love when she says "num, num...num, num" it's just so cute.
