Happy Thanksgiving :) Tana's walking!

Happy Thanksgiving! Grama Sheri and Uncle Volk came for the Thanksgiving/Birthday weekend. Pics of both next week. Last Thursday night, Tana took 5 steps all by herself. She has since taken up to 15 steps independently. She's also crawling up the stairs, and crawling up onto the little pink chairs and up onto the little bathroom stool. She loves hugging all the pets. She does this little squeaky noise whenever she sees one of the kitties or dogs or horses because she wants to pet them and hug them. She has said 'cat', 'hi', 'apples', and 'boots' all clear as a bell, once, but not again. The common stuff is 'mom', 'mama', 'dadada', 'zzzstickaa', and 'yum'. Laney found another friend...Sadie was barking at something on the porch, and this poor skinny cat was hiding under there. I fed her because I felt sorry for her, she seemed nice, then she took off. But then she came back that night, and everyday after that. She passed the test...Laney hugged her, mugged her, rode Lucky with her...she's still around :) Laney named her 'Wilbur'. I think Wilbur could possibly be preggers...she is gaining a little weight all over, but her belly is getting pretty big :)We will see.

"zzzz zucka"

Well, Tana took her first step on her own...just one step, Tuesday night, then she's taken one step on her own last night and today. She is getting really good balance and stands for long periods of time not holding on. She is also squatting and picking up objects, sometimes heavy, and then standing with them. She's been saying "zzzzzucka"...I think it's for sticker, but unsure on that one. Laney loves to say "Tana, what does a sheep say?" and Tana answers "Baaa" it's pretty cute. Tana walks all over with the lion walker, she loves it. When she runs into something, be it the couch, the wall, and runs out of somewhere to push it, she steps to the side and tries to turn it. Laney and I try to keep it turned, but if we keep our hands on it too long she takes a hold of our hands and pushes them away, she wants to do it by herself. Tana is signing a lot now, 'dog', 'bath', 'more', 'eat', 'drink', 'all done', and 'potty'. She stopped signing 'milk' and now points to me and signs 'drink'...I'll ask her if she wants mommy milk or water and she points to me...it's cute. When she signs something new that she hasn't signed before, she will watch and wait for a reaction of recognition, then she keeps signing it and smiles. She loves to dance still, just dances constantly...if she hears even a hint of a song, she twists her little upper body and points her little index finger...sorry, that is one of my dance moves past on to my offspring that I was hoping wouldn't be :). We got another new horse, his name is Feather in My Cat, so we call him Cat, he's young but so kind and quiet, Laney loves riding him. She is such a good cowgirl. She now reenacts what we do when she's riding Lucky and playing in the living room. She'll call out "I'm going to 103 and 104...Dad, can you open the gate?" Then she rides all crazy after some calves that she says got out. It's really funny. All the while there is a running commentary about "riding the rough" off of one, or "you can't ride my horse cuz he's frisky".
