"new cowbee boots"
Laney is still as serious a cowgirl as I've seen. She got new "cowbee boots" as she calls them, they light up when she walks...Scott picked them out. She is learning what all of her tack is called. She has mastered the saddle, the halter, the lead rope, the bridle, and the bit, but every part and piece she wants to know what it's called. Memorizing those 4-H books is finally coming in handy again. Yesterday she was petting "Teabone" and thought her chestnuts on her legs were owies. So we picked and peeled at them and I told her they were like finger nails (best description I could come up with)...she was fascinated with them. We visited Mor Mor and Papa this week so that Scott and I could go for a belated birthday dinner for me with no kids...it was nice, I gotta say...never! thought I'd say that :) Laney had a blast chasing "hop hops" around their neighborhood and pushing Tana in the stroller. Tana was cracking me up, she loved it. Her little, well chubby little, legs were just so relaxed hanging over the edge of the stroller, I couldn't stop laughing at how chilled out she was. It was too cute. With all the rain we've been having, and with Laney's affinity for mud puddles, I bought her a raincoat and boots. She wanted to wear them so badly, even though it was nice out, that picture just looks so cute like she's waiting for it to rain again. Now that I bought those, it'll never rain again. Tana is so funny...she rolls from her back to her tummy but still hasn't rolled back over or log rolled. But she does this scoot thing that makes me laugh so hard my side hurts. She will be sitting and she gets all excited and starts this body scoot thing...it's so funny...but she actually scoots across the carpet. She'll scoot 6 to 8" or so on her butt before she stops to see why I'm laughing. Then she just smiles, laughs, and starts it again. It's so funny, I'll get a video.
