Tana - 4 months; New Puppy
Tons of pictures this week :) Lots happened. Tana turned 4 months old on Saturday and is as sweet as ever. What a doll she is, so happy and mellow. Mor Mor and Papa came up for a visit too, and Laney soaked up all she could of her Papa. After they had left she says "I wuv Papa". She also told me this week "love you too, Mommy" which of course melted my heart! And we got a new puppy. I know it, that is now 6 dogs!!!! 5 border collies and Sadie. The new puppy wasn't really a planned deal. We had a friend die in a drunk driving accident before Christmas last December and his wife was left with a little boy about 18 months old and she's pregnant with their second child. Not good. But there was a benefit auction held for his family in February that raised over $100,000 for them. This puppy was part of the live auction items and we bought her based on the fact that she's a half sister to our Lee puppy. They have the same dad, who won the world cattle dog trials a couple years ago, and Lee's full brother won the world cattle dog trials this year. So a powerful bred puppy for what we do. She was weaned and ready to go this last week so we picked her up Saturday. We named her Molly, and she is so sweet! Laney and her are already really good pals. Laney wants to play outside constantly with her. She comes in for snacks, drinks, and naps, and then she's right back outside running around with the Molly puppy. She drags her up on her slide and slides down with her. Molly loves her, not sure if she loves sliding, but she follows her everywhere. Newt is a little jealous, but he's tolerating it. Laney also told me something pretty hilarious this week. She was laying on the floor wriggling and twisting all around. She says "mommy, I have a cracker", I said "a cracker?" "Yeah" she says. Well it turns out she had a wedgie :) I couldn't stop giggling about that all day.
