11 weeks!
Wow I'm almost out of my first trimester! I'm finally starting to show just a tiny bit...no one really thinks so except me though :) Volk said I just look like I'm normal now...not sure exactly what he means by that :) I guess I really just look like I ate too much. I'm feeling a little better overall. I haven't thrown up in a week which is great, but last week was rough with a lot more nausea. It seems to be getting better but it's definitely not gone! The books say that our little bun is the size of a large strawberry already...why they make fruit references to everything I'm not sure. I'm still beaming about the heartbeat, can't wait until I get to hear that again.
Baby's Heartbeat!
Coolest sound I have ever heard! A few tears streamed down my face and Scott's eyes welled up as we smiled at each other listening to that clear, strong, "squish squish squish" sound. It was so fast our baby must be running a marathon in there :) My doctor only used a small portable speaker with a wand to hear the heartbeat, so we didn't see anything yet. We don't get a picture ultrasound until 13 weeks. Scott and I were just beaming all day yesterday at our little miracle. We are just so thankful to finally hear that sound. It's still resonating in my head :)
10 weeks :)
We are now 10 weeks! It has been a long last 3 weeks with the puking and nausea, but this pill seems to be helping quite a bit. I was puking 3-5 times a day, now I puke once or twice a week! So a big improvement. I still get queasy and don't quite feel like myself yet, but I'm feeling so much better. My dear friend Shalei told me that drinking this Mona Vie juice helped her not to be nauseated so I ordered a bottle of it hoping it has the same affect on me. Can't wait until it gets here! Congrats to her by the way, she's about a month further along than I am! For those of you who can't remember our connection, she was Miss Rodeo New Mexico when I was Colorado. Scott and I have out first ultrasound this Wednesday! We are so excited, can't wait to finally hear that heartbeat! According to the books, our spawn is now the size of a prune :) and has moving joints, it's teeth are forming under the gums, it's little gastric juices are flowing, and it's peeing already! Never really thought that would be exciting...
9 weeks :)
Nine weeks today! Feeling better overall, but the nausea is still there. Throw up much less now, once every 3 or 4 days now with this "no-puke" pill. Nothing too much to report except the books say our little spawn is about an inch long with moving joints now and the chambers in it's heart are forming and developing. Pretty cool!
Doctor visit went great!
We had our official first OB appointment on Wednesday and all went well. No luck on getting an ultrasound this time...2 weeks and we should be able to see and hear the heartbeat! My doctor is very encouraged by how sick I feel (aren't we all) but was a little concerned because I lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks! yikes! So she gave me a prescription that is supposed to help me not throw up as much. Honestly I haven't noticed a huge improvement...I'm still nauseous but I haven't actually thrown up in a day and a half, so that's good. Her honest advice was nothing really helps! HAAHAA nice. Oh well, here's hoping that I feel better soon! If I start to show and stop losing weight I'll take some belly pics :)
8 weeks!
Well things are going pretty good with my new relationship with my toilet. I've really had a chance to get to know it lately, it's still quite cold but what can you expect when all I do is...well I digress...well we are still very pregnant! Marge and Cork came down for a visit and I don't want them to leave! I finally have someone to throw out the gross stuff in my fridge! :) She made my lasagna recipe last night and it tasted so good even today! My birthday was uneventfull and mostly full of nausea, but it was nice to have the company to pass the time with. Howdy-Bob the kitten sure enjoys me laying around feeling crapy because he gets lots of loving!
Tired of being sick :)
I'm officially 7 weeks now and my stomach just wont get much happier. I've resorted to eating shredded lettuce with yellow mustard and tomato sandwiches and some oatmeal (not together). My refrigerator makes me gag and dry heave just from opening it. Some days are better than others as far as the nausea...it seems to still last all day, but has been less intense the last 2 days. I didn't puke at all yesterday!! Feeling marginal today but no puking yet, yeah!
