Little sickies
I thought I hadn't taken many photos this week...I guess I took a few, just all on a couple days. My little pooks have been sick this week. Papa and Uncle Mike came up for a visit to go duck hunting along the river. Laney told Uncle Mike "don't shoot any ducks, I like the ducks, they're pretty. You can only shoot coyotes, gophers, and badgers." He got grilled about some other stuff too. Then they had tons of fun melting ice cubes on Papa's head. That night however started the week of sickness. Laney got the stomach flu of some sort. Stopped throwing up and got to feeling a little better 2 days later, then Tana started throwing up and Laney got a sore throat and fever...looks like strep...not been a healthy few weeks. Anyway, I didn't take many pictures of that...good for you guys. Tana, however, is a happy kid even while puking. She is talking so much now, lots of new words, and sentences, and is very adamant about doing things without help now. She is able to dress herself...for the most part...if given enough time. The other day she was trying to get her pants on and kept getting both legs down the same hole, she'd say "hep me peeze" so I'd go and try and help her then she'd say "NO" so I'd stop, then she'd try again and ask "hep me peeze, Mama." The cuteness is pretty thick, but begins to wear off about the 100th time of that. She is just so darn cute. She has started some, sort of naughty things. Some serious things like biting her sister, hitting, throwing books in a non-mean way, and hitting the dog. When she does these things I get very serious and tell her that these things hurt and she can't do them. She responds by saying "Ohhh Kay" very cute! It's hard to ever be mad at her. Sometimes she can get a little rough playing too. She often seems to scratch when she is tickling. Or I get poked in the eye a lot too. I'll say "ouch!" and she just hugs me and says "ohhh, Mama"...laughter sometimes is the best medicine...makes the poked eye hurt a little less I guess.
