Drought continues...
We had to wean more calves this week, the drought continues to dry us out completely. I think Scott and Diana have seen more rain in Phoenix this year than we have. It's been scorching hot too, which always helps. Laney helped me gather for a little bit and then she was "all done going fast", we didn't go faster than a walk :). The girls helped us process, gave pretend shots and got them in the chute for us. We took a drive over to check on our bred heifers in Laramie and they look great. The girls met some turkeys and chickens at the ranch headquarters that they were having fun with. Tana was scared of the turkeys at first, but she soon figured out they were not after her. When they'd gobble it would make her flinch, but she soon was petting them and gobbling back at them. "gobba, gobba" she'd say, and "bok, bok" to the chickens. It got a little chilly from what we were used to and Tana kept hugging herself and saying "burr code". Scott continues to feel better. He's able to walk without a limp now and is completely pain free in his hip. He still feels stiff and has lots of stretching to do. His physical therapy is going well, he flicked the acupuncturist though, without knowing. He doesn't love when it's happening, but loves it after they are done. They do these shock treatments to his muscles while the needle is in the muscle which he says is not comfortable, but has softened up his tightness and made it so much more flexible. He is making great progress and still loving his Mr. House Husband role.
