"Happy Daddy" Day

Happy Father's Day to all those Father's out there! Scott got a special "Happy Daddy" day from Tana and Laney, a NAP! He loved it. This week has been a little crazy. Scott learned that he needs a total hip replacement...we are meeting with a hip resurfacing doctor Monday and hopefully will be able to find out if he's a candidate for that...it preserves more bone. Anyway, he's scheduled for surgery on July 9...so the rest of the summer he'll get to enjoy the luxury of air conditioning and bad satellite TV. I'll update more next week as we learn more which procedure he'll be getting. As for the girls, they get cuter and honrier every day! Tana is potty training really good...but sometimes misses and you hear "ewww gross, Mom, Tana pooped on the floor" from Laney, and "poop" from Tana as she points. It's pretty darn funny. Tana is talking so much, she's now trying to repeat many of the words she hears, right as she first hears them. One of my favorites is when we say a prayer, she finishes hers with "Ah-me" and claps. She can say around 50-60 words and the count increases daily. She can recognize some colors, purple, yellow, and blue. And she knows a lot of her body parts. She is loving somersaulting, she cheers for herself. And she loves to "ide, ide" anything, caterpillar, Lucky the pretend horse, Sadie, the cats. She also loves the dog boxes on Scott's pickup...it's not abuse if I let her out! The bottle calves are getting turned out in the daytime now. They don't go very far but they graze around on some grass. Well the other night they saw my car drive in and they came running down the driveway to meet us. The girls loved it, hugging them, kissing them, sucking their fingers. That little white calf, Smokey, is so sweet. He loves getting loved on, and loves licking those girls, they just giggle. The other day I was at Bible study and Laney and Tana were playing out in the front lawn at Di's house. All of a sudden the other ladies start cracking up. I turn around and Laney has stripped off her clothes and is streaking across their front lawn. Oh dear...that child...free as a bird and naked as a jaybird! Hopefully the video this week works, Tana's voice is so sweet!
