...and she's off

Pretty much as soon as I hit post last week, Tana really started crawling. She is all over the place now. She gets very excited and sometimes surprised when she ends up in the next room. Laney will say "look at her go, look at her go" kind of all run together more like "lookathergo, lookathergo" it makes me laugh. Speaking of making me laugh...Laney and this cat! I thought Howdy-Bob was tolerant, he has nothing on this kitten. Maybe this kitten was a hobo in a former life and he's just really thankful to have someone love him...who knows. I can't believe what he puts up with. She put her dolly bib on him, he wore that thing until the next morning when I took it off of him...he was purring. He rides on the buggy with us over to the grass pivots every night and just hangs, then rides back...never protests...unbelievable. Tana's pincer grasp...holy cow...I call her the "pincer-puller". When she nurses, she pinches and pulls each one of my arm hairs...doesn't feel the greatest...but when I try to distract her hand, she grabs my hand and tries to "throw" it aside, then gets right back to pinching and pulling. She is getting very expressive and so adorable! She loves to point to things, and she will say "daah" and pooch out her lips. She loves her books...especially the animal ones where I make noises :) I still think it's crazy how good she is at turning pages. She will turn to a page with a cow on it, look at me and wait until I moo, then she flips to the page where the lamb is, looks at me until I baa, then flips back and forth as if to see how fast I can go "moo, baa, moo, baa" then she smiles and claps as if to say "good job mom". Speaking of "good job mom"...Laney had to go potty, so we both went, when I finish she tells me "good job mom"...Thanks Laney :) Tana started scribbling with a pen. They have an etch-a-sketch that has a pen on it and she knows how to make it draw. She switches hands, and makes scribbles with both. It only scribbles with the correct "pen" and when she is holding it where it wont make a mark, she will turn it around and try it until it makes a mark...it's really cute. She is dancing too. She loves making her toys make music and she just bounces up and down...it's really cute. I keep forgetting to write this, but for about two months or so she does this hug and pat. She hugs you and pats your arm or back...I love it! I feel like I'm forgetting something...oh well, there's always next week.
