Happy Mother's Day
We are finally feeling better. Laney seems all the way better. Tana and I still have a slight lingering cough but its slowly getting better. Laney, Tana, and I went to MorMor and Papa's last week and the girls had a great time helping MorMor in the yard and digging in the dirt. Tana sat up by herself on Friday. In the morning she couldn't and after lunch she could. She can catch herself a little, then gives in and does the roll back down to earth. Her reactive and response time to things is remarkably fast. When she hears a toy, her eyes immediately find it and her arms grab it very fast, almost all in the same motion. She often grabs with both hands, but occasionally with just one. It makes me laugh, she'll be into a toy and she hears another toy and her arms just shoot out towards the toy and grab it, she's got warp speed arms. Her facial expressions have really started developing too. She and Laney are so funny together, Tana LOVES watching everything Laney does, and she laughs at her all the time. Laney is on this thing where she sounds a bit like an Irish peasant from the 1800's or something. She is replacing the word 'my' with 'me' all the time "I have to put me shoes on", "can't find me princess dress", "I wanna ride me horse", I'm not sure what brought it on but it's pretty funny. She is now referring to Tana as "little one", "hi little one" she often says. Every day brings something new. Mother's day was quiet. The girls and I had a normal day, played outside and 'relaxed' (that word has a whole new meaning these days), and the four of us drove through our cows and calves. I know it doesn't sound all that exciting, but it was nice just to be together. The other morning Scott and I woke up and found Laney crashed on Sadie's dog bed on our floor...not even sure how long she had been sleeping there, neither one of us heard her come in :)
