Pals

This is a video of Tana using the potty :) She has been going this good since she started when she turned 6 weeks, just think some of you out there think I'm crazy :)

Another great week...Laney is loving her new pal Molly puppy. They play together all the time. She is outside rain, wind, sun, cold, doesn't matter just "want to go outside and play with Molly". She is talking in such long sentences now and not leaving out the little words anymore. She "reads" her books to herself and to Tana. She has most every book we have memorized and actually "reads" the lines that are on the page she is on in the right order. I know she isn't actually reading though because I've asked her to read things she's never seen and she can't yet. But the other day she is reading her book "Elmo Potty" as she calls it and says "taking baths helps to get the whole body clean." It's impressive to me that she can recall the sentences exactly. She and Tana are so cute together. Laney was jumping on the bed the other day, and I was just chanting a little made up tune "jumpy, jumpy, jumpy, jumpy, jump, jump, jumpity jump" and Tana was laughing at Laney so hard it was making Laney and me laugh. SOOOO cute, wish I'd had the video on then! Often when Laney cries, Tana's lower lip shoots out so far and she cries. Last night Laney jumped towards me off the couch but over shot me by just enough and I wasn't able to grab her and break her fall. She landed on the floor right on her head. OUCH! She was ok, but definitely cried. That made Tana cry too. It's funny in a sad way because she's so sensitive to Laney's emotions and really responds to when Laney is happy or sad. Laney is also fascinated with Q-tips. She loves to play with them...not that I allow her, but she is constantly helping herself to them. Just had to grab a pic cuz I think its funny (although I try not to laugh) :) Calving is going good, almost all the heifers have calved now...down to about 30 or so to go. Cows are in full swing, having about 10-100 babies a day and have LOTS to go yet. Laney and Tana love to go on the buggy to check all the babies. I had to try and take a picture of all of us...so I stretched out my arm and those are the funky pics I got, but I had to put them up anyway. You should see the whole picture, Scott, Molly puppy, Laney, Jo, Myself with Tana in the carrier on the front seat, Sadie on the floor by our feet, Newt, Lee, and Tuffy on the back of the buggy cruising through the cows. We look funny.
