"Peanit"
Well, Tana now has a nickname :) Peanut...although Laney says "Tana peanit" and sometimes we call her Tana banana...which Laney repeats as "Tana bana". Tana had her 4 month checkup...more like 4 1/2 months at this point. She's 17 pounds 4 ounces, and 26 1/4" long. And I seriously was concerned that she wasn't getting enough to eat...I know, apparently I have heavy cream instead of half and half this time :) She is laughing a lot at this point. She laughs at Laney all the time, and when you kiss her neck below her ear she crunches her little shoulders up and laughs, it's so cute. She flaps her arms now all the time. She flaps them when she wants something, and she flaps them when she's excited. She now understands the sign for milk and gives this huge smile and flaps her arms. Her sounds are getting to sound more like little baby words. Lots of "ooo's" and "oh's", and raspberries both with her tongue out and in. She actually now will make a raspberry sound when she has to poop...it's pretty funny because she sort of mimics the sound then smiles when her poo makes the same sound. Oh the days of simple entertainment.
Laney is now requesting the funniest things first thing when she wakes up in the morning. She always has a cuddle time in the morning and then she'll say that she's hungry. So I ask her what she wants for breakfast and she usually asks for "eggs and toast" or "pancakes and eggs." But the other morning she walks out of her room in her drunken looking wake up walk asking for "tuna". I ask her "tuna?" She calmly says "yeah, tuna and pickles"...so that's what she ate for breakfast :) This morning she woke up asking for her green princess dress like "Cinderelly's"...I guess there is a little girl inside the mud puddle loving tomboy after all. She is also singing a lot now. She knows several songs and just breaks out into song whenever. She doesn't actually sing a tune. She just gets this really high soft voice and says the words to the song...it's really cute. her favorite songs are "Twinkle, Twinkle", "Bear Necessities", and "Are you sleeping, brother John". I'm working on getting it on tape because her little voice is seriously cute.
