"Nokie"

We are officially a petting zoo...we got another new friend this week. Gnocchi, or as Laney says "Nokie kitty" or "hey Noke". We adopted an adult female cat, we don't know much about where she came from or how old she is, but she is so lovable and sweet, we love her. Her name came as Lizzy, but Laney wanted to name her after Curious George's kitty friend Gnocchi, so that's what we call her. I finally found non-toxic nail polish, so Laney got to paint her nails and toe nails this week. Every couple of minutes she wants to try another color...and she is hard to paint! She just can't hold still for more than just one nail and THAT is a struggle...so it's not the nicest paint job. Lately when she pretend calls someone on her "phone", the house thermometer, she says "and so, make sense?" I told her about the Easter bunny, kind of, so she calls the Easter bunny and says "hi Easter bunny, it's me". She's collecting sticker coloring book pages that she decorates for the Easter bunny, and is making a pile of stuff to give "her" when we "hug her and hold her"...not sure the concept has sunk in :) Needless to say, the Easter bunny will be well loved and get lots of hugs when she comes to visit. I called it a "he" and she said "mommy the Easter bunny is a girl."
