Laney turns 5 years old!

 

Well this is not quite on time, but I'm less of a slacker than last time. Laney turning 5 seems unreal to me. What an awesome little person she is becoming. It appears as if we have Christmas pictures again based on the dress choice, but that's just her favorite dress so it's also the birthday dress. LOVE some of the pics of her...I was asking her if she loved her dad, her sister, her horse, and she'd close her eyes throw up her hands and give those adorable smiles :) love her!

Also LOVE the pics of Tana eating her cereal at the table...so precious...seriously.

Laney's preschool took a trip to the "small" zoo in Surprise last Friday and she and Tana had a ball. They got to feed the giraffes which they loved. There were 2 or 3 in the pen that would come eat pellets. The tall one was getting most all the people to feed it...it was right there is was so easy. The "medium" one as Laney called it, could barely stick his tongue out far enough to get anything so no one was feeding him. Laney felt bad for him, so I'd hold her out over the edge and then she could reach his tongue...he seemed grateful :)

We also raked some rocks and got a little more landscaping done around the place. Just realizing right now that it's been 2 weeks since my last post...I'm a slacker...totally.

Aunt B, Uncle Walter, and Summer flew in yesterday so we are having a ball and taking lots of pics :) So glad they are here! I've missed them SO much. Tana is 5 months younger than Summer and they are BUDDIES! So cute how they instantly were friends. LOVE!
