Kittens, Coons, and Calves

Life is never boring on a farm and ranch. JW took both the kittens, which was nice...we have so many cats we really didn't need 2 more. We had a baby raccoon wander down the driveway one day...smelled our trees and then left. Then we had yet another branding, got another 350 calves done, and we still aren't totally done, but we are getting much closer. We are still calving ;) in fact we had new babies the morning we were branding, which means we will have at least one more branding to get all of those. My bottle calves are doing good...I have 3, Smokey, Jingle Bell, and White Tag (courtesy of Laney) they are healthy and going strong...finally! Speaking of Laney, she currently has strep throat and feels pretty icky...she's resting and ordering Tana around when she feels up to waking up for a bit. Tana is changing so fast. She is now saying around 40 words, her colors "blew" for blue, "puhple" for purple, "yellohhhh" for yellow, "red", she says the kitties names "oh Woooeee" for Woody, and "oh wil" for Wilbur, and "bee" for Buzz kitty, she wont attempt to say Nokie yet. She often will say "hi guy" when she walks into a room and sees people, and she says "Aleeee" for our neighbor's dog Ali. Her L's are very clear and she really speaks clearly a lot of the time. She tends to wait to say a word until she can say it right. If she hears you say a word that she isn't sure she can say right, she just keeps quiet, but words she is more sure she can say correctly she will blurt right out. They are both so funny and so adorable, we are so blessed.
