Happy Halloween 2010!
I probably need to start out by explaining why Mow isn't in any pictures anymore. He is no longer with us. The week after we got Tuffy, we lost Mow. Tuffy became obsessed with him and wouldn't leave him alone, ever, in fact he wouldn't even leave the house to go work at the feedlot because all he wanted to do was follow Mow around, seriously obsessed. Mow was getting really rough with Laney, tree-trunking up her legs, scratching and biting her constantly...not sure why, but he was getting mean. He would do it to me too, as I would walk by him he would jump out and bite and claw my feet and legs and wouldn't quit. I tried spraying him with a water bottle, tried flicking his little feet, scruffing him, and he would just flatten his ears, twitch his tail and just come right back after me or Laney. Laney was starting to just run from him, and everytime she had any scratch or mark on her I'd ask her what happened and she would answer "Mow". Anyway, he spent more and more time outside and less and less time inside. Tuffy and him would wrestle and play, and seemed to get along, but I couldn't find him one morning and we looked and looked...it took me a few days but I did find him...we don't know for sure, but we are pretty sureTuffy just got too rough. I'm sure another needy kitten will wonder into our lives, but for now we just have all the pups. For Halloween this year Laney was a little black kitty. We took her trick or treating for the first time and she was so cute. We told her to say thank you, and she would say "too too". We only went to 4 houses and we were worn out :) Laney doesn't get candy so she didn't know what she had...we just counted the candy and she would take it out and put it back in over and over. She told me "sha woah" and would point at the candy. I didn't know what she was saying. She just kept saying it over and over...then she said "dus"...well we have an employee Shiloh and he has a dog Gus, so I asked her if that's what she was talking about and she says "yeah". So then I asked her why was she talking about Shiloh and Gus with her pumpkin full of goodies, she just kept offering it to me and saying his name. So I asked her if she wanted to give it to Shiloh, she nodded and said "yeah". I did make my own chocolate bark so she could have a little treat, she only wanted the "m's" as she called them. She is talking sooooo much! The list is long this week, "ant", "pull", "in", "mole", "sun", "nose", "on", "off", "eyes", "big", "honey bee", "mouf" for mouth, "mof" for moth, "moose", "moon", "nest", "owl", "hum", "fat" (for steak fat :) ), "seepy" for sleepy, "pie", "top", "puggle" for puzzle, "beer" for bear, "eeeg" or "eggie" for egg, "himey" for slimey, "take" for steak, "dote" for goat, "date" for gate, "rella" for Cinderella, "turka" for turkey, "boo duck" for Blueduck her gray horse, "keek" for cake, she sings "a b c b c" and can say almost the entire alphabet...she has trouble with Q, R, S, V, W, X, and Z. She got new cowboy boots this week and loves to wear them. She talks about her boots and daddy's boots. She also wanted to wear her little chinks again because daddy was wearing his. She also got a new ballcap. She had it on straight because I put it on her...well by the time I wrangled up what I needed and headed for the door she didn't have her hat on. I told her she couldn't go outside until she had her hat on, so she runs and gets it and puts it on backwards :) too cute! She also had a great time cleaning out the pumpkins. Our neighbor gave us these pumpkins. Laney loved the little one and chose told me she wanted a happy. So we carved a happy pumpkin and that's what she calls that one..."happy".
