"muck"
Laney has added a lot more words this week. She started saying "muck" for milk, "pucker" for poker or pokies like sand burrs or goat heads from outside, "ticker" for sticker, "buck" for book, "duck", "wup" or "oh-p" for oops or whoops, "top" for stop, "sheedie" or "shadie" for Sadie, "dart" for dark, "peek" for pink, "buckle", "mucka" for marker which kind of sounds like a heavy New York accent, and "ow-cull" for ankle. She loves to jump in our bed or her own bed, pull the covers up over herself and say "nigh night, dada" then she reads her books to herself. She is becoming quite the independent little girl. The terrible twos...might be coming a little premature. She tells me "no mommy" a lot, and doesn't like to do as I ask. When I ask her to bring me something or give me something she has and shouldn't have, she quickly runs away from me and throws whatever it is somewhere along the way. The other day, she did this with a part to my kitchen mixer, she ran over to the couch, threw it on the cushion and quickly covered it up with a pillow, then turned around like she didn't know what I was talking about. Sometimes I have to turn the other way or go to another room and laugh because it just cracks me up. She is absolutely full of it all the time. Sun up to sun down and beyond she goes non-stop. My favorite thing recently is how she answers "yeah" just so matter-of-fact when you ask her a question, or no, but just so honest and sweet. Everyday she comes up with something new that makes us half crazy, but she is so adorable it's hard not to laugh. The picture of her in the denim dress pointing and looking very serious has a cute story. Laney and I went on a walk around our feedlot here at the house with all the dogs the other day. Newt stopped to take a #2 and she goes over to it, points at it, and says "poop, Newt". She likes to identify whos is whos around here :)
