This week we had a heck of a snow storm, in fact this morning we woke up to -31 degrees below zero! BURRR!! It was the first opportunity for Laney to experience snow after we had actually purchased all the clothes for her to stay warm. So I decided to get her all bundled up, which completely cracked her up. She was laughing the whole time, which made me laugh the whole time. It took us a while to get it all on between the wiggles and the giggles, but we finally did. It was a little cold (not -31) to stay out too long, but she had fun eating the snow and watching Newt and Jo and Sadie play. Yep, that's Newt in the picture! He's HUGE!! Only 7 months and weighs one and a half times what Jo does...that is just an estimate from picking up his brick of a self. The picture of her playing with that little puppy toy is base for another cute story. The paws on the toy play music and sing her songs. She will sit and push those over and over. She will push them until she hears the song she likes, as if she is searching the radio for her favorite song, then she dances and dances until it ends, then she presses it again. If you press the nose it sings the "ABC" song, which seems to be one of her favorites. So now when she nurses, she will reach up and press my nose...if I start to sing "ABC", she quits pushing, smiles and starts dancing, then when I quit she pushes my nose again! Laney said her first official word other than "mama", "dada", and "poop" :) Scott and I were playing with her in the family room and Laney was watching Sadie lick her bone. I pet Sadie and said "oh Sadie" and Laney leaned over, hugged Sadie, and said "kadie"...Scott and I just froze staring at each other with our mouths open...then she hugged her again, patting her and said "_adie". So cute, her sweet little voice. I guess it makes sense to mutter her best little buddy's name :)
