Happy 1st Thanksgiving

Laney celebrated her first Thanksgiving with GGPat and "uncle" Volk. She ate Turkey, stuffing, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, roasted sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce which was really funny too watch her shudder at how tart it was :) and of course pumpkin pie, all of which she had the reaction "mmmmmm". I finally got a picture of her "fishy face"...the pic where she is looking up at Volk...she has been sucking her cheeks in making this face for a couple of weeks but I can never get it on camera, and finally did :) She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with GG and Volk. She is getting so good at turning the pages of her books by herself. She has always loved turning them, but couldn't turn each page without a little help. She now can feel the depth of the page and turns them pretty well. She loves to point at the pictures and words, as you can see her showing Howdy the big dog :) The pictures with the loaf of bread...quite a funny story...I was grocery shopping with her the other day, and I put the loaf of bread in the cart by her in the little seat. Well she grabbed a hold of it and hugged it and squeezed it, biting it and laughing. It was making everyone in the store crack up. She would not let it go, I had to "scan" her along with the loaf so we could check out :) She rode all the way home with it and continued to hug it and bite it and crack herself up at home for quite a while. I finally got her distracted by Sadie and was able to get it away, although it was pretty bent by then :)
