Happy Anniversary :)

As Scott and I celebrate our 3rd Anniversary, we look back and can't believe all the changes in the last 3 years. Laney is saying more words now, her latest is "knee" she says it then smiles and says it again and smiles and giggles. She loves reading so much. During her playing, she often will go into some room alone and start "discovering" what she can make a mess of :) but lately I've been finding her in her room, sitting in the glider chair reading to herself. She pretends to read the pages and says some garble-dy gook, then turns the page. She makes noises for the animals and then says some words. It's so cute to watch her tell the story. One of her favorite stories is Corduroy, and she loves it when the button pops off the mattress, so when she gets to that page when she is reading to herself she says "pop". She always chooses what books we read, she'll grab some and come jump on your lap. She still does that all the time, but now sometimes she will be carrying one of her books around and start thumbing through the pages stating her own commentary, so I'll ask her if she wants me to read it to her, she has been shaking her head no then sits down and reads it to herself. She has also starting nodding her head 'yes' in response to questions...mostly when she wants something and I repeat it...like "nummy, nummy, nummy" I'll say, "you want some nummies?" and she'll nod and say "nummy, nummy, as she giggles with agreement.
